About Beauford

Author of The Adralack Trilogy

My Story

I was drafted into the Army in 1962. I spent most of my two years working in intelligence at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and at Ft Meyer in Arlington, Virginia. When the base all-comers track meet was held, no one thought a little 5’6”, 140 lb. weakling would win the half mile and mile races.

I was married to my wife, Marie, for almost 62 years before her passing. I live in Salem, Oregon. I graduated from Oregon State University in 1966 and worked in accounting for private firms and the State of Oregon. I retired in 1999 and haven’t worked since.

Before knee replacement several years ago, I enjoyed antique cars. I’ve had a 1929 and a 1930 Model A Ford. There was a 1939 Buick Special, a 1956 Chevrolet Belair, a 1957 Buick, a 1960 Ford Fairlane, and a 1962 Ford Falcon.

In addition to my novels, I hold a patent on a random selection device. See this website: https://ppubs.uspto.gov/pubwebapp/static/pages/ppubsbasic.html

Study this, and you will see how detailed my thoughts can be. The “Tower Scrambler”, as I call it, can’t be beaten. Each time you select one of the sixteen choices to drop a marble into, you have four variables before the selection is complete.

I enjoy using my computer to work on novels of different genres. Producing the trilogy was quite challenging, especially when the last one had to tie everything together and be more exciting than the other two. As a retired individual, writing provides a creative outlet for my thoughts and occupies a significant portion of my free time. Find my web page at beaufordeaverette.com
